Floor Care
Here at Zenica Building Services, we have expertise in maintaining and resurfacing numerous floor surfaces. We can help you with one time or regularly scheduled floor maintenance of the following surfaces;
- VCT Flooring (stripping, waxing, scrubbing, or buffing)
- LVT Flooring (scrubbing, sealing, washing)
- Concrete Flooring (scrubbing and sealing)
- Terrazzo Flooring (light grinding, scrubbing, and sealing)
- Appropriate maintenance of all other floor surfaces.
VCT Flooring
VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile) Flooring is the most common flooring used in commercial buildings. Commonly used in hallways, restrooms, classrooms, labs, and lobby areas. VCT is best maintained by regular dusting and mopping, frequent buffing, occasional scrubbing and re-waxing or spray buffing, and annual stripping and waxing.
LVT FLOORING
Over the last number of years, LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) became a very popular product of choice in the commercial and residential building due to its price and imitational variety. Like VCT flooring, LVT flooring is used in the same settings and it requires regular maintenance that includes primarily dusting, mopping, frequent scrubbing/washing, and periodic grout sealing. Use of wax or sealant on the tile is not recommended.
CONCRETE FLOORING
Concrete flooring is a very affordable way of surfacing large and/or frequently used areas that receive a lot of traffic, such as warehouses, production sites, public restrooms, and similar locations. Concrete floors are best maintained by frequent dusting and mopping, regular scrubbing/washing, and occasional sealing with slip-resistant sealants.
TERRAZZO Flooring
Terrazzo is one of the most durable flooring materials available today. Once sealed properly, the material is impervious to water and stain damage. Regular maintenance includes dusting and mopping and regularly scheduled polishing/buffing. Over time it does require maintenance that may include hard or soft grinding, refinishing, and consequent polishing.
